The Colour of INK: A Walk on the Wilder Side of Art Supplies
By School of the Arts
Free Lecture for Alumni, Faculty, Future Students, Graduate Students, International Students, Postdoctoral Students, Researchers, Staff, Undergraduate Students
Overview

Filmmaker Brian D. Johnson and inkmaker Jason Logan have spent years collaborating on an NFB documentary that follows Jason’s quest to create living colour with ingredients foraged from nature. Now, as The Colour of INK nears completion, they discuss how their approach to inkmaking and filmmaking came to share the same process—forage, sort, pulverize, alchemize, filter, show—and how they learned to let the materials do the talking.
