Join us for our next speaker event! Dr. Funké Aladejebi will present a paper titled: “Seeing Themselves: Race, Education and Black Life in Canada.” The talk will take place on Wednesday, November 4 at 7pm and will be live on zoom.
Speakers
Funké Aladejebi is a professor of history at the University of Toronto. She specializes in twentieth century Black Canadian history. Here forthcoming book, Schooling the System: A History of Black Women Teachers, explores the importance of Black Canadian women in sustaining their communities and preserving a distinct Black identity.
