Overview
Nothing Remains The Same – Play – A Fungal Tapestry of Dance Music and Story – Directed by Peter Cockett and Devised in collaboration with iArts and Theatre and Film students.
Summer 2023. The evening skies bled orange. The air was hard to breathe. Denial is not an option. Nature does not negotiate.
Believing in a better future is essential for our species survival. It is time to dream a way forward. Nothing Remains the Same is our response to the crisis, personal yet social, fearful yet hopeful. It weaves song, dance, story, puppetry, and movement into a tapestry of ideas and actions threaded together like the mycilleum roots of fungi.
“Everything you touch changes
Everything you change changes you
The only lasting truth
Is change”
-Octavia E. Butler
